How cool is this? Remembering “Sweetness!” You’ll have to take my word that this Bears fan, driving through Toms River in Ocean County, also had a baseball cap on his back dash representing his beloved “Monsters of the Midway!”
This man is not only a friend but a true hero. Christopher Lukenda is a fireman in the town of Linden, New Jersey. He also introduced me to the Bears fight song…”Bear Down, Chicago Bears!” which I never heard of before meeting Chris. A lifelong Bears fan, Chris was wearing his gloves on a chilly day in Trenton when I snapped this picture.
“Bear Down Chicago Bears” Loving his BEARS while shopping in a Supermarket in Ocean County, New Jersey!
A little blurry perhaps, but easy to see this is a fan of the Chicago Bears! He lives in Freehold, (Bruce Springsteen’s Home Town) but I spotted him buying a snow thrower at a Home Depot in Jersey City! Just like all of you who live in the Windy City, this Bears fan prepares for the big snowstorms!
Bears fans won’t like this but..here we go. Yep..that’s a Chicago Bears jersey alright! Meet Eddie V. Notice the police badge just between the 8 & 7? I met Eddie as he and many other Newark police officers were conducting a drug raid on a high rise in Newark, New Jersey. (If you don’t know already, I’m a television reporter in New Jersey) I told him about NIWFNJ and said I wanted to add him as a Bears fan. He laughed and said, “go ahead, but I’m a 49ers fan! I picked up the jersey on sale for $8.00!” Me and another officer told him, “that’s just wrong Eddie V!” LOL
Spotted this Bears fan at the Multiple Sclerosis Walk in Lake Como, Monmouth County…down The Jersey Shore! He told me he became a Bears fan in 1985. He’s been waiting for another title ever since!
This Bears fan also proudly displayed a window sticker in Bergen County!
